what's in a single tear,
what's in an expression?
is it a million evolved emotions?
a trillion dissolved dreams?
how many smiles,
how many wrinkled brows?
can a tear mask emotion,
can it hold back anger,
or does it only reveal?

streaming, salty, sweaty,
